To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Sam's World.

Most nights Sam enjoys what he calls quiet time or "QT" before bed. He's allowed to just hang out in his room and do whatever. Some nights it's reading his magazines, building his legos, or making paper bag puppets. Occasionally, he gets so involved with what he's doing that we forget he's still up. He has come into our room asking if it was time for QT to be over as a way of letting us know he was ready for bed.  The other night though he did something new. He passed us this note through Sarah when she came to tell us goodnight before she went off to bed.

Which was really cute and made us laugh...and sing that song for the rest of the night.
