To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Day 16

I literally hung up the phone and pulled off the side of the road this morning to take this picture. I was wowed by the scene...and then I found this CS Lewis quote and realized that as beautiful as it may is really just a rough sketch.

"When humans should have become as perfect in voluntary obedience as the inanimate creation is in its lifeless obedience, then they will put on its glory, or rather that greater glory of which Nature is only the first sketch."
CS Lewis~The Weight of Glory
