To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Monday Morning Meanderings

Well, the school play was a great success this weekend! Rob directed the cast through the stage production of Harvey and let me tell you it was hilarious. The set was a marvel of engineering ingenuity and the costumes and props were perfect. Trinitas never does things in half measure and everyone from the staff to the parents contribute to always do everything top notch. As a gift for Rob the cast and crew matted the original artwork used to make posters for the show. It is a sweet keepsake that I've already found a place for in our room...now if I can just get it hung up!
Speaking of getting things hung up...a few weeks ago, (okay a few months ago) Rob hung a rod in Sam's room for me to hang curtains. But we haven't found any material that we liked so it's just been sitting there empty and naked. Well, today is the day...the fabric is ready and the sewing machine is coming out. Don't get to excited, it's just going to be a valance but I've got a couple of other projects planned for his room too so it'll be a nice little make over. Pictures coming soon, of course :-)
Here's a few questions for you to ponder...
Do we raise our children as believers, or to become believers? Is there a difference in the two?
Happy Monday!

Hi Marty,
This is Amanda Marchlewski. I am researching soaking grains, and you came to mind. I didn't have your e-mail, so this was the only way I knew to get the information to you. Apparently, when you soak grains it makes them much more digestable and nutritious. Several reasons for this one of which is that it breaks down the gluten... I know you guys keep Sam on a gluten free diet because it affects him adversely. Thought you may be interested in researching this further. Or you may already know about it. :)

Hey Amanda! Thanks for the information...I will check on that...we have some reasons we've been considering gluten free for Rob but this might be a better starting point.
How's your little fella doing?
