To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

She's Three!

Happy Birthday Claire!

Her favorite color is white. Seems a little unusual doesn't it? But white reflects all the colors of the visible light spectrum to the eyes...and Claire seems to reflect the best and worst of all of us...she is all four siblings rolled into one.
She can make us crack up laughing with the simplest of things. She can go from happy to shrew in point two seconds.

She is all that is bright and unrestrained...whatever she is feeling or thinking you'll know it.

Like all mothers I wonder at this life God has given me to nurture and train up for Him...wondering at His design and plan for her life.

She always seems to be in such a rush to grow up...to keep up with everyone else...to see new things.
I wish she'd slow down.
