To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

What We Did This Week...

On the second Sunday of every month the men of our church meet together so the kids and I went to hang out with some friends...where we stayed nice and cool :-)

On Wednesday night our community group ate pizza together and the kids played on a water slide. Great fun was had by all.
Community Group

Sarah had her first job to earn money towards her goal of raising $300 for the Pregnancy Resource Center. She worked very hard and was able to spend some time with a lovely woman in our church that she normally doesn't get to talk with much.

Emily's birthday money has been burning a hole her her pocket since February but she finally got to spend it this week...she had her first horse back riding lesson! I'm telling you the child is fearless and in heaven around animals.

Sam lost a tooth. He was such a goof when Rob went to pull it out. At first he wanted to exchange the tooth for some sort of monkey toy. Today though he's hoping for a pet fish. I think he is doomed to disappointment.

Abby finished up a wonderful two week summer camp hosted by two of the sweetest girls at Trinitas. She learned the proper way to set a table and do certain chores, as well as baking and other fun stuff. With all she learned you better be on your best manners around her!

Claire...well, she has just been her sweet little self all week going along for the ride with everyone.

Hope your week was fun!
