To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Flickr-itis

Flickr is an amazing place to enjoy the beauty of photography from all around the world. There are people with various skill levels, creative eyes and a desire to share with others what they see. It can be an inspiring place to visit...sparking creativity or controversy . Two of my friends from church...Ellie and Susan... have some beautiful photographs on their Flickr pages.
You may be as involved as you like...being as active as you like. (As a side note...it can be a dangerous, dangerous time sucker...you know, for some people...not me of course...never :-)
A fun part of Flickr is the thousands upon thousands of groups you can join...you have pictures of yellow flowers? Here's a group for nothing but yellow flowers. Want a group of members all from the state of Florida? Here There is even a group of photographers from Milton...all 13 of us.
One new group I've joined is the December Photo Project 2008. From now through December 25 I take a picture a day...(okay I already do that but now I have a purpose.) The idea is to share with others what you see each day. You can go here to meet the mastermind behind the concept and also visit a few of the links to other people who are participating. I'm posting my first two offerings now...but from now on each one will be posted on it's own.
Hope you enjoy the visuals this month!

Flickr is the devil, Bobby Booshay.

I like the leaf pic. And the cookie pic at the top is just mean.
