To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

If you look to the right you will find that I have added some links for a few more blogs that I enjoy reading. Misty is a transplant from somewhere above the Mason Dixon line and is a wonderful writer. This post in particular is hilarious. She is passionately pro life and the baby counter on her site is heart wrenching. We had dinner with her family Sunday evening and the sunset was just gorgeous...

The other new link is for the Spivey family. What a sweet young family! They are moving to Alabama to enter full time ministry and before they leave I had the pleasure of photographing their six month old twin boys. The boys, by the way, were great. I, however, have much to learn in regards to the portrait sessions of infants. Things like how important the correct temperature is and such. Molly is the daughter of Mrs. Phillips...Emily's teacher and a hero in our house...we love Mrs. Phillips :-)

There is one other thing I wanted to share with you...actually one other person. Her name is Anna Vandas and she is an amazing singer from Canada. She has a very Nora Jones-y feel to her music and her song "What Is" is a favorite of mine. Give it a listen and enjoy!
