To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Three Cheers for Horatio Hornblower

We had the most fun watching this wonderful mini-series by A&E. It's based on the classic novels by C.S. Forester and stars Ioan Gruffudd who also plays in the recent movie "Amazing Grace" as well as characters in the Fantastic Four movies.

You can go here to read more about the original
book series and here to find out more about the A&E mini-series.
It gets two thumbs up from the Hadding movie review.

I have never seen Horatio Hornblower but Ioan Gruffudd is one of my favorite guy actors. I really liked watching him in Amazing Grace.

If you like Ioan Gruffudd, then you must, I say, must watch this series!

As much as I like the Horatio character, Cap't Pelew rocks!
