To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Orientation

While most schools have already started the year Trinitas has not. First day of class will be on Tuesday, September 2nd and we cannot wait! Yesterday we went to orientation and met teachers, dropped off school supplies and other fun stuff.

Mrs. Scott has been a friend to our church family for years and we are so pleased to have her as Abby's teacher. (Abigail will be Abby in school as there is another Abigail in her class.) There is so much learning and growing in store for our sweet little girl. She will do amazing things this year!

We are jumping for joy that Emily will have Mrs. Phillips again this year. I think she is the perfect third grade teacher. Her room is full of all kinds of interesting things like bugs & snake skins. She even has an octopus in a jar (mind you this is me shuddering). She has a quiet expectation for her kids academically and really sets them up for success. The highlight of this year will come in the Spring when they celebrate prairie day...they will do candle making, patchwork quilts and all kinds of stuff. It will be a blast!

Sarah is entering a different arena in her education this year. From seventh grade on the kids begin Omnibus. They will do some pretty heavy duty reading but there is a strong emphasis on helping them work through the material with a Biblical worldview. That added component is what separates the reading and discussion times you find in most schools at this level. Everybody reads most of these works in their educational career but the end result is vastly different in this environment. Sarah's teacher for Omnibus, Ms. Barnes, is a young, energetic woman of God. Her excitement for being with the kids is palpable. The other teachers are just awesome...Mrs. Gallagher for science & PE, Mrs. Stout for math, and Mr. Pope for Bible. Some big changes are happening this year for Sarah that will stretch her brain and her understanding of God. I think it will be good for our whole family.

Can you tell we love Trinitas? It may not be a fit for everyone but it is perfect for our family.

Well I just love Kathy so much and her family. Her testimony is such a blessing and we go way back.
Kathy even helped my daughter in
school work several years ago and
my daughter loved it. Your daughter
will absolutely love her as much as we do.
You'll be blessed so much too mom
and dad. More than you know.!!!
