To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

It's Been A While

Life has been busy...finishing up school...(we had a fun time Friday with the whole Trinitas family watching Prince Caspian at the Rave.) Sarah ended the year with all A's except for one B in grammar. Emily also finished really well bringing all of her grades up this last semester. The school's reading program requires the children to read 600 minutes each month...Sarah clocked a total of 3,537 minutes while Emily read for 2,433 minutes. It's a trend we intend to carry through the summer.
Today we got to spend a wonderful summer afternoon over at Mr. John & Ms. Judy's house...actually their neighborhood...picking blackberries and feeding turtles.

We've also had a few days of the crud...Sam and Abby both had some kind of twenty-four bug...oh, joy! I'm really hoping we're done now and no one else will catch it. We'll start getting ready for Rob's trip in two weeks...our nephew from Atlanta will come stay with me and the kids while he's gone. I've already informed BeckyJ to be prepared for company...we'll be hitting the pool to keep busy and cool.
Lots of other little things but last (certainly not least) is that we got a new van last week...(along with a car payment...blek) Yep, it has doors on both sides and...are you ready for it?
Needless to say we love it.
Life has been busy...but good.
