To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Our Weekend

It was one of those unplanned perfect times. Have you ever noticed that the unplanned ones usually are the most fun? Maybe because when we plan we tend to attach some kind of expectation to the outcome...the more you plan the bigger the expectation. Anyway, our family hadn't planned anything in particular. Rob got in late Thursday night and the girls were out of school on Friday and somehow it morphed into really wonderful family time. Lots of laughter and play...bubbles and jump ropes...frisbees and badminton. Even burgers, fresh corn and burnt marshmallows all on the grill. Add in taking lots of pictures & a trip to the book store and it pretty much describes perfect for our family. Then there was a blessed time of worship with our church family. Every weekend doesn't go this well...not as much peaceful fun...but I think that's a good thing. Because then we can really appreciate the ones that are like that.

I'm glad to see that YOUR in some of the pictures as well. We
photographers don't seem to get in many of our pictures when our children are growing. It'll be nice for future grandchildren to
see their granma while raising
her children.
Good job on pictures. WK
