To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Typical Kid

This is the first time that Sam has ever showed an interest in his birthday...and the first time he has ever asked for a party...he's clearly been thinking about it and this is the basic conversation he had with Rob last night.
R: "What kind of cake do you want?"

S: "Green. And it looks like a Lego."

R: "Okay...what else do you want at your party?"

S: "A pinata!"

R: "You do? With toys and candy inside?"

S: "No fruit snacks. And I'll eat them all up."

R: "Well you'll have to share with the other kids."

S: "Aw, man!"
