To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

School Days Ahead

Typically we school year round...for several different reasons...but this year we will do things a little differently...we're going to follow the Santa Rosa County school calendar...(although during breaks we will keep up with core subjects like math and grammar.)
In keeping with Sam's general Sammy-ness he has already begun doing some school things on his own...his current favorites:
  1. Sign Making...he is still writing signs and leaving them all over the house...everything from fav game titles to his opinion on breakfast (No breakfast ever again!)
  2. Tile Spelling...dump all the letter tiles out...make up and spell out sentences. And no, he does not ask for spelling help.
