To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Reader's Choice

Rob and I both love books and we hope we are passing that love on to our children. Here are their current reading choices:

Sarah is reading "Phantom of the Opera" with all it's danger and intrigue. When she is finished we will check out the rating for the movie version and maybe have a movie night to see how it compares with the book.
Emily is enjoying her first chapter book, "Nate the Great"
We will do some mystery color mixing and art work to go along with the plot of her story.
Sam's favorite is "The Three Silly Billies". He is working on reading
out loud.

Abby is enjoying a family favorite, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" We have word tracing and color matching planned for her and we will also make our own pattern book. How does "Claire Bear, Claire Bear, Who Do You See" sound for a title?
