To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

Look Ma! No Hands!

Not the greatest picture in the world but you can see what Claire gave me for Mother's Day...she is sitting up all by herself...won't be long before she is chasing after the rest of the kids. Also in line with Mother's day...on Friday I think half the neighborhood girls were at my kitchen table making cards for their Mom's...creativity and glue flowed freely.

You are such a great neighborhood mom! Hmmm, looks like you'll have to clean those chairs on the back porch again!

Tell little Miss Claire to hold it right there. She's growing up too fast. What does she want to sit up for? She has 6 people at her disposal who would gladly carry her around! (More if you count all of us...)
